People who join MLM have their own reasons. However the characters of the person will show us how far they will go. Today I will discuss the classic type of people that will join MLM industry.
Type#1 – Genuine Business Seekers & Business Builders
They are the most sought after people in MLM industry. They are the one that will build a large business for you. They are your rice bowl. Some are leaders & some are not. It does not matter. Leaders are not born, they are developed. They can also be a product consumers.
Type#2 – Product Consumers
These people are the type that join an MLM & buy products from them. They are not genuine business seekers or builders. They join because they like the products a lot & loves the service of their upline. Even though they are not business builder but for most builders their income come from this kind of group. The best thing about them is that they learn more about the products, the company & interact with their uplines. This will expose them to MLM more & eventually they will convert to be business builders.
Type#3 – The Supporters
These kind of people are normally your friends or relatives. If one of their relative build an MLM, they join under them to support his business. If I have a friend who wants me to join him & I did, it does not mean I join because of genuine reason but purely out of obligation as a friend. Mixing business with family & friendship is risky as there are bound to have problem like loosing a friend or relative if the business does not go as plan. It is normal human reaction. To prevent this kind of problems, it is always best to make sure the actual intention of them joining MLM industry. It must be clear up intention & not due to obligation.
Type#4 – MLM Junkies
MLM junkies are the ones who like to jump MLM to MLM. They are also known as Multi Level Monkeys. Hahaha. They will get hyped & excited about the business & after a while they looses some steam & start finding faults of the company as a reason to jump to another hot smoking opportunity. In fact, it is actually reasonable to have multiple MLM company but you must make sure to focus on one good MLM company for long run while the rest you can operate on referral basis (recommending to friends to buy from another company while you build the main one).

Type#5 – 001 Syndrome
These people can be MLM junkies as well but with a slight difference. They are the one who always want to be pioneer in the MLM. The first to everything. There are many pros and cons to assess about a new company like their background history, financial status and product market rather than just focusing on the income potential. There are many more challenges to be faced for people who are sponsored directly under the company and new companies don’t usually have a time-tested workable system in place.
