The Internet has undoubtedly changed the way the world works. A few decades back, the magnitude at which we function today would’ve been a mere dream.

Internet gives you the privilege of isolating yourself from the hustle bustle of the city, pollution and the other related unpleasant things you can think of. You can sit at home and make money to your heart’s content. But the big question is if working from home will suit you?

Here are some pros and cons of telecommuting and website publishing.

Telecommuting
Telecommuting is working for a company from the comfort of your home. You may have to check in on occasion. But otherwise, you can work from your home office or home computer.

One of the biggest advantages of being a telecommuter is that you can make your own hours. Especially for parents, this can be a wonderful option as you can structure your work hours to your convenience and spend the rest of the time with your kids.

Once you become well known in your niche, you can be a piece of hot cake with companies running after you for your services. So typically, the business environment looks lucrative and enticing.

How successful you are depends to a large extent on the efforts you are willing to put in and your enthusiasm and dedication for work. It definitely takes a lot of discipline to work from home. You can’t afford to slouch down for every favorite TV show and let your work lag.

On the other hand, some people get over obsessed with work and refuse to draw a line especially because your workstation is always no more than 20 meters away from whichever room you are in! At the end of the day, you have no choice but get work done on time else you might just lose your job. Remember, telecommuters have no job security whatsoever.

Isolation irks many. Working from home continuously can be stressful and frustrating too. But whether you make it or break it, it’s in your hands. Clean planning and focused implementation with a dash of convenience is what telecommunicating is all about.

Website Publishing
Affiliate marketing is an option has caught up really fast. Affiliate marketing is where a small company or individual consents to a commissioned sales program with a company that has a quantity goods or services for sale. The affiliate members are paid according their performance which is tracked. The affiliate marketer is being rewarded for his/her marketing skills by way of commissions from the parent company.

Website publishing is interesting, creative and once again, gives you the flexibility of working from home. The initial days may involve extra days of struggle and work in order that you establish yourself. Some start up costs may also be involved.

One of the drawbacks is the lack of recognition outside the work environment which can lead to frustration. Most people don’t understand what affiliate marketing is like and will give you a mere puzzled look when you call yourself one.

Nevertheless, both Telecommuting and Website Publishing are exciting concepts that are growing in potential with the booming of Internet. Remember, strategies help. Think it over and come up with something that works for you and bring you those big bucks!
